In a forward-looking decision last year, WVA expressed its intention to expand its global footprint by establishing representative offices. The organization has earmarked this year for opening its new offices, with Ukraine being a primary focus. The Ukrainian office, led by Maryna Kovalska, symbolizes the first step in this expansion plan.

WVA’s mission in Ukraine is centered on collaborating with women pivotal in reviving the nation’s economy, including leaders from commercial and public sectors. The Ukrainian representative office will liaise with local leaders and business entities to effectively influence policies related to women’s issues.
A key goal for Maryna Kovalska is to develop the local community and harness the private sector’s transformational power in aiding Ukraine’s economy during its recovery and beyond. Her appointment heralds a new era for Women’s Voice in Action in Ukraine, focusing on nurturing and establishing a strong foundation for women’s entrepreneurship in the region.
